My First Payroll

If you got my Facebook, then you will know....

I got my FIRST payroll today!

I don't mean to "invite" people to rob me. *afterall my salary very low TT*

But I just can't hide my excitement! 

As usual, everyone asking to treat!

Well, if you know me well.

I am the person that doesn't mind to treat people eat. ;)

So yeahhh, those in other place, come Penang, I treat makan! XD

I have been waiting for this day since...

Secondary school! *I-am-serious*

I even entered university for foundation earlier (January intake),

so that I could graduate earlier and work!

While some of the friends went to work part time. 

I give up small money on part time, 

so that I could earn big money earlier. XD

Anyhow, if you read my previous post, Feb Budget Allocation, 

you would see this...

My budget allocation BEFORE getting the payroll. =X

So, somehow there's some changes need to be done. =S
Due to EPF, Tax and some other unexpected expenses.
Ohya, and also Relationship Fund, in case you didn't read about my Valentine's Gift. =p

So you see, there are some changes.

My investment allocation dropped 12%.

And the 5% Relationship Fund as promised. ;)

Well, like my best friend said:

计划赶不上变化

It means Plans never catch up with Changes.
True isn't it?
But still...

Fail to plan, plan to fail!

Me versus Hair Loss 2!

In case you haven't read the part 1, here it is.
So in the part 1 I mentioned about the worries of hair loss.

Which costs me RM177.
I'm not sure if is cheap or expensive since I didn't check the price outside.
For sure...

That's the price to pay! TT

So you should be glad you don't have my problem.
Especially at this age. =(

Satay @ Nurul Ikan Bakar, Batu Uban

Went for satay with another two colleagues.
Supposed to have more, but all last minute can't make it. *sigh*
Well, I can hardly find any famous shop that specifically sell satay in Penang. =(
So somehow they introduce this one to me.

I miss Satay Kajang! =(((

So here's the one from Nurul Ikan Bakar.

Well, our table is actually on top of the tree.

The nice lightings! 

Frankly speaking, it wasn't the best that I have eaten before.
In fact, the chicken satay was burnt as you see from the photos.
The daging satay was definitely better as in the texture.
One thing for sure, they need to work hard on the kuah!

Taste: 6/10 (Not up to par!)

Price: 7/10 (RM0.70 per stick!)

Environment: 7/10 (Not bad, especially the seats on top of the tree)

Service: 6/10 (Slow! Due to the non-stop-coming customers)

But for sure, next time I should try out their Ikan Bakar.

Afterall, their shop is famous for ikan bakar. =D

\EPF Declares 6% High Dividend for 2011

Good news to the employees! =D

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) board has declared a dividend rate of 6% for 2011!

"It's the highest in the last 10 years!"

Compare to 2010 which is just 5.8%, increased by 20 basis point.

Translates to a 24.47 billion being distributed to the members. 

Below is the table for the allocation of the fund.

As you can see from the table,

Equities were the largest income contributor at RM13.29 million (48.841%).

Personally I think it is quite impressive especially a lot uncertainties in the economic.

Comparing to the past 10 years, it's the highest!

But of course, you could observe that it reaches the peak when it is the election year. =p

Well, one thing good for the employee is that... 

the CPI (consumer price index) and FD (fixed deposit) were kept low at 3%.

Meaning your money in EPF...

"Still got 3% interest despite of inflation!"

But this is just a rough estimation.

Anyhow, as long as it is high,

We should be happy already! =D

What is Your Ambition?

Personally, this is a simple question but it's hard to answer.
So let me ask you again...

What's your ambition?

Like seriously, have you thought about it?
I mean yes, we might answer it for a lot of time.
Probably since kindergarten.

Performing for the song "Old Mcdonald had a farm, EIEIO~~~" 

When I was in kindergarten, I watched too much of Power Rangers.

Hence, I always dream to be one of them.

Most of the time in kindergarten, I will pretend to be PR with another 4 friends.

Walking in a row as if no one could block our way.  

Daydreaming in class?

Ever since we got involved in Science during primary school,

I always thought how good if can be a scientist or inventor.

And perhaps I could...

Change the world with my discovery or invention.

Inside the society meeting room during high school.

During high school, I realized that there's a big gap between rich and poor.

And I wanna get on to the rich side.

Read a lot of books.

And all eventually telling me that...

Being employer is better than employee.

During university.

And again, I realized that businessman got too much to sacrifice.
Most importantly, time, time spending with family and friend.
So in finding the balance between that,
I chosen engineering which gave me a stable income and sufficient time.

And my ambition is to be....

"Millionaire"

Millionaire sounds a bit too far to reach.
But the aim to get financial freedom and early retirement,
being a millionaire probably would solved that.
Of course, I also realized that being just engineer not going to take me anywhere near there.
That's why I'm also a Unit Trust Consultant that aims to invest for myself first.

Well, somehow reality kicks in. Increment of the salary of an engineer is pathetic.
After completing my own financial plan, I realized the pace of increment doesn't get me where I want to be.
So I became a businessman again, helping people in their personal finance.

Time is Not Enough!

Just a short one. ;)
First question:

Is time ticking too fast?

or

I am doing things too slow?

Since I started to work,
I got the feeling of time is not enough to use.

Here's my daily routine:
6.00am: Jogging
6.30am: Online read news/blogs/emails
7.00am: Breakfast
7.30am: Depart to work
8.00am - 5.00pm: Work
5.30pm: Online read news/blogs/emails
6.30pm: Dinner
7.00pm: Online read news/blogs/emails/report
9.00pm: Gym
10.00pm: Online read news/blogs/emails/report
11.00pm: Time to sleep

Of course, there are some variation in time.
For example, outing with friends/futsal with friends etc.
These will affected my schedule and hence slow down my progress.

Any suggestion for me?

I'm still finding a balance of life whereby I can do everything in time.
Perhaps come out with a detail daily timetable?
And be discipline to obey to the timetable?

This probably would happen. *I'm just guessing*
But still people would be disappointed if you gonna leave early, isn't it?

So what you gonna do?

Unique Valentine Gift that I Bet You Never See Before!

I sucks a big time in being romantic. #foreveralone#
In fact, I get a lot of complains.
So getting a birthday present, valentine gift etc is so hard for me!

So how tomorrow?! =S

Well, I got an idea.
I bet no one, yes you heard me,
NO ONE will give the same gift as me!
Interested to know what? lol

It's just a piece of paper. 

Unique huh?! XD

I figured out that creativity is not my thing.
So perhaps this is the best that I could do.
And probably that's what I'm good in. =D

Don't get me wrong.

I'm not buying a girl's heart with money,

but it would be useful some years later! 

*she might be millionaire one day XD*

You never know the power of compounding.

5% is too little?

Trust me, percentage is better than a figure. =p

Hokkien Mee Cham Loh @ Sungai Ara Market

Good morning everyone!
It's odd for me to post in the morning.
But I'm going to share my thoughts about breakfast.
First thing first, my breakfast is....

Hokkien Mee Cham Loh!

Not many people would know about this, perhaps just northen region of Malaysia or just Penang.
You can hardly find Hokkien Mee Cham Loh in KL!

Dapau back from market, so bad appearance. =(

It is actually a mixture of Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee) (Red) and Loh Mee (Brown black).

In Penang, you could easily find stalls that selling Hokkien Mee together with Loh Mee.

Because we love mixing it together to eat! =DDD

After I stirred it. 

It consists of noodles, beehun, taugeh, quarter of egg, small prawns, kangkung and slices of meat.

Personally, chilli plus garlic is a MUST-ADD!

As you could see, the ingredients not much yet delicious to eat!

Simple can be nice too!

It is just like life.

Keep things simple and live life happier! =D 

The soup would sticks with the noodles!

Good thing about Loh Mee is that they add in the starch to make it sticky or waxy.
With the mixture of Hokkien Mee, you will be able to taste the "slippery" noodles.
And all the noise that you could hear would be...

Slurrrrrp! Slurrrrrp! Slurrrrrp!

Are you hungry now? XD
Well another thought for you.

Want breakfast? Go earn it!

In fact, every meal of each day I would make it this way.
If I wanna eat, I have to accomplish something.

For example, this morning...
I have to wake up early to jog to market to buy myself this breakfast!
Like they said,

You would only appreciate things 

that you earn it yourself.

For me, its a win-win situation!
I get to exercise and yet I get to eat!
A good motivation for me to accomplish things! =D

Midnight Duck Rice @ Air Itam, Penang

Frankly, at Sungai Ara, its hard for me to find a dining place after 10pm!
I mean except for those mamak which there are only two!
So for a guy that used to KL life to stay in Penang...

IS HARD!

Anyhow, so I get to go this shop which only open at MIDNIGHT!

The big one, RM5!

The small one, RM4!

Not much difference huh?!

It actually consists of duck, pork, intestines, egg and taugua!

This combo is niceeee!

It is actually located at the market of Air Itam.

It is just right opposite of famous Laksa of Air Itam.

The operating time starts from 11pm until finish. =D

Taste: 8/10 (The combo was awesome! and I like the kuah!)

Price: 7/10 (RM5 per plate perhaps a little expensive in penang!)

Environment: 5/10 (Old and dirty, near to market which is smelly! =S)

Service: 7/10 (Quite fast! altho have to queue!)

So....

Chap Goh Meh @ Straits Quay

My first time to witness the event of throwing mandarin orange.

Since I'm free and I'm playful, so I decided to throw one too.

Some of you keep telling me that I'm not supposed to throw orange but apple.

Yes, yes, yes! I know!

I even know that I should throw banana, peanut and stone!

But it was a last minute decision you know!

Hell lots of people!
